Changellychangelly.comNoxSwap vs Changelly: KYC holds, fees and country limits compared
Changelly has been swapping crypto since 2015 and is one of the names most people know first. Both services let you swap without an account and both offer fixed rates. Where they part ways is what happens when a swap gets flagged, how the price is shown, and where you are allowed to use them. Here is how they compare, checked against Changelly's own published terms.
Checked against Changelly's published terms on October 29, 2026.

The differences that matter
When a swap gets flagged
This is the difference that matters most. Every instant exchange screens deposits, and a small share gets flagged. Changelly's AML policy says a transaction flagged by its risk scoring will be put on hold until you pass ID verification, and its FAQ warns that checks can take several weeks or even months. The policy does not say what happens to the funds if you decline.
On NoxSwap, standard swaps need no KYC. About 0.5% of transactions, large or flagged ones, are picked by the exchange partner that executes the swap for an extra AML check. If you decline it, the deposit is refunded, minus only the network fee. The one exception is a transaction suspected of links to illegal activity, which the partner may hold until the case is resolved.
What you actually pay
Changelly publishes a floating fee of 0.25% of the amount you receive, with the network fee on top, one of the lowest headline fees around. Fixed rates carry a dynamic fee with no published percentage, so the headline number alone does not tell you the final amount.
On NoxSwap you see a single number: the amount that lands in your wallet, with the network fee and our service fee already inside it. The only fair test is the same pair and amount at the same moment, compared by what you would receive.
Where you can use them
Changelly's terms exclude the US, the UK, Germany and Austria, along with Japan, India, Turkey, Hong Kong and others. NoxSwap is blocked only in Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria, so it works in all of them. Either way, check the rules where you live before you swap.
Card purchases and track record
Changelly also sells crypto for cards through payment partners and has run since 2015, which counts for a lot. NoxSwap only swaps one coin for another, launched in October 2026, and is held to the same terms-based rows in this comparison.
Questions
Is NoxSwap a good Changelly alternative?
Yes, especially if Changelly's terms exclude your country or you want a refund rather than a hold when you decline a check. For card purchases or a floating rate, Changelly is the better fit.
Can I use NoxSwap in the UK or Germany?
Yes. NoxSwap is blocked only in Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria. Changelly's terms exclude the UK, Germany, Austria, the US and several other countries.
Does Changelly require KYC?
Not for standard swaps. A transaction flagged by its risk scoring is put on hold until you pass ID verification. On NoxSwap, declining the check ends in a refund minus the network fee.
Which one is cheaper?
It depends on the pair, the amount and the moment. Compare the amount you would receive on both for the same swap at the same time; that number already reflects every fee.
