Exolixexolix.comNoxSwap vs Exolix: fixed-rate locks, refunds and Lightning compared
Exolix's terms hold a fixed rate for 60 minutes, the longest lock we found, and it supports both Monero and Lightning. Both services swap without an account. The differences are in what a long lock costs, what happens if you refuse a source-of-funds check, and how the price is shown. Here is how they compare, checked against Exolix's own published terms.

The differences that matter
The price of a long lock
Exolix's terms promise to hold a fixed rate for 60 minutes, though some of its own pages mention 15 or 25, so check the timer on your order. A long lock is genuinely useful if your wallet or exchange is slow to send. It is not free: someone carries the price risk for that time, and it shows in the quote. In one BTC to XMR sample on October 27, 2026, Exolix's fixed rate paid about 2.6% less than its floating rate for the same amount.
NoxSwap holds its rate for the deposit window on the order page, typically about 10 minutes, and shows one all-in number: the amount that lands in your wallet, fees included.
When a swap gets flagged
This is the difference that matters most. Exolix's terms say that if you refuse a requested source-of-funds check, it is not responsible for ensuring the refund or completion of the exchange.
On NoxSwap, standard swaps need no KYC. About 0.5% of transactions, large or flagged ones, are picked by the exchange partner that executes the swap for an extra AML check. If you decline it, the deposit is refunded, minus only the network fee. The one exception is a transaction suspected of links to illegal activity, which the partner may hold until the case is resolved.
Coins, Lightning and Monero
Both support Monero and Zcash. Exolix has also supported Lightning since February 2026, which NoxSwap does not, so for Lightning swaps Exolix is the better tool. NoxSwap covers 500+ coins and networks and shows the network next to every coin, such as USDT (TRC20).
Track record and privacy
Exolix has run since 2018. In May 2026, the security firm RasterSec reported that exposed partner API keys made about 356,000 Exolix swap records readable, with addresses, transaction hashes, amounts and timestamps from January 2025 to May 2026. No funds were stolen, and Exolix responded with new firewall rules.
NoxSwap launched in October 2026. It stores no IP addresses with orders and anonymizes order records after 90 days.
Where you can use them
Exolix publishes no country list beyond sanctioned jurisdictions. NoxSwap is blocked only in Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria. Either way, check the rules where you live before you swap.
Questions
Is NoxSwap a good Exolix alternative?
Yes, if you want a written refund rule for a declined check and one all-in amount. For Lightning or an hour-long fixed rate, Exolix is the better fit.
Why is a fixed rate sometimes worse than a floating one?
Whoever holds the rate carries the risk that the market moves before your deposit arrives, and that risk is priced in. The longer the lock, the bigger the cushion tends to be.
Does Exolix require KYC?
Not for standard swaps. If a source-of-funds check is requested and you refuse it, its terms say it is not responsible for a refund or completion. On NoxSwap, declining the check ends in a refund minus the network fee.
Which one is cheaper?
It depends on the pair, the amount and the moment. Compare the amount you would receive on both for the same swap at the same time; that number already reflects every fee.
