NoxSwap vs StealthEX: KYC rules, fees and refunds compared

StealthEX lists more than 2,000 coins and tokens, Monero and Zcash among them, and has a loyal following among privacy-minded users. Both services swap without an account. The differences are in how clearly each one says when checks apply, what happens to a flagged swap, and how much each one publishes about fees and countries. Here is how they compare, checked against StealthEX's own published terms.

The differences that matter

When a swap gets flagged

This is the difference that matters most. StealthEX's terms allow KYC or source-of-funds checks at any time, before, during or after a transaction, and say a flagged transaction may be delayed, withheld, refunded or handed to an authority. Which of those happens is left open.

On NoxSwap, standard swaps need no KYC. About 0.5% of transactions, large or flagged ones, are picked by the exchange partner that executes the swap for an extra AML check. If you decline it, the deposit is refunded, minus only the network fee. The one exception is a transaction suspected of links to illegal activity, which the partner may hold until the case is resolved.

What you actually pay

StealthEX does not publish its fee; its terms say it is a percentage built into the rate that varies. NoxSwap also builds its fee into the rate, but shows the result as one number: the amount that lands in your wallet, with the network fee and our service fee already inside it.

The only fair test is the same pair and amount at the same moment, compared by the amount you would receive.

Coins, Monero and Zcash

Both support Monero and Zcash. StealthEX lists far more coins and tokens, so for something rare it may be the one that has it. NoxSwap covers 500+ coins and networks and shows the network next to every coin, such as USDT (TRC20), so you never send on the wrong chain.

Where you can use them

StealthEX publishes no list of restricted countries; its terms define them only by category, such as sanctioned jurisdictions and those flagged by the FATF. NoxSwap names its list: it is blocked only in Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria. Either way, check the rules where you live before you swap.

Questions

Is NoxSwap a good StealthEX alternative?

Yes, if you want a written refund rule for flagged swaps, a published country list and one all-in amount. For rare tokens or a floating rate, StealthEX may suit you better.

Does StealthEX require KYC?

Not for standard swaps, but its terms allow identity or source-of-funds checks at any time, before, during or after a transaction.

What happens to a flagged swap on NoxSwap?

The exchange partner may ask for an extra AML check. If you decline it, the deposit is refunded, minus only the network fee.

Which one is cheaper?

It depends on the pair, the amount and the moment. Compare the amount you would receive on both for the same swap at the same time; that number already reflects every fee.
